Abuse Services ( Turning Point )
Program Description:
The Turning Point Program is a substance abuse program working with youth 13 through 17 and their families who are using or at risk of abusing drugs and alcohol. In addition the program accepts youth who are experiencing emotional problems (dual diagnoses). Services include individual, group and family counseling. Referrals can be made by calling the intake department at The Child and Family Guidance Center. The program accepts Medicaid and most private insurances.
Program Eligibility:
Services are availabel to any child under the age of 18 who resides in Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Monroe and Easton.
Accessing Service:
Requests for services can be made by parents, school personnel, physicians, as well as adolescents. Families are scheduled for an initial evaluation which is followed
by treatment.
Client Fee:
Fee for services are based on a sliding scale, although no services are denied because of inability to pay. The program accepts Medicaid and several commercial
insurance. Please call to confirm insurance coverage.
