Outreach / Outpatient Substance Abuse Services ( Turning Point )
Program Description
The program provides
innovative and extensive office, in-home and community counseling
services to youth
that
are abusing drugs or alcohol. Families are invited
to attend multifamily therapy
and youth attend individual as well as group therapy. Since
these youth are initially
resistive to come to
a clinic for treatment, the
program reaches out to engage and treat them in their
preferrend setting - home, school, or
community.
Program Eligibility
Services are availabel to any child under the age of 18 who resides in Bridgeport,
Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull, Monroe and Easton.
Accessing Service
Requests for services can be made by parents, school personnel, physicians, as well
as adolescents. Families are scheduled for an initial evaluation which is followed
by treatment.
Client Fee
Fee for services are based on a sliding scale, although no services are denied because
of inability to pay. The program accepts Medicaid and several commercial
insurance.
