Family Enrichment Service

 

Program Description:

Family Enrichment Service Program (FES) is an in-home parenting program, that offers parenting skill interventions and supportive services to parents whose children have been abused and/or neglected or are at risk of abuse and/or neglect. The Family Enrichment Specialist primary task is to improve parenting skills by teaching child development, age appropriate discipline techniques, and communication skills to support the parent/child relationship and structure. The program also seeks to connect the family with available and appropriate community resources in order to strengthen the parent’s ability to provide the basic needs of their family.

Program Eligibility:

Any DCF parent with a child under the age of 18, whose child may be a risk of or have been abused and/or neglected, and are residents of Bridgeport, Fairfield, Stratford, Easton, Trumbull or Monroe may be referred to the FES program.

Accessing Services:

The services may be accessed during regular working hours ( Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 5 p.m ) by calling 203 394 6529 ext. 3005

Client Fees:

There is no fee to the families for participating in the FES program.
